This is the second book i have read by Constance O'Banyon. The first one was Velvet Chains which i have loved for over 10 years now. This book was written so poorly and so rushed. It felt like no one actually had a true personality simply because the author just penned whatever they wanted. The ending was awful. Sad because the beginning of this book had so much promise. I don't even want to read anymore of the authors work.

I think I've read all of Constance O'Banyon books, and I have many of them, that I like reading over and over again. This one features an interesting story, and well written (as always), but it's definitely not one that I'll read again.

While I found the female protagonist very likable and her character well developed, the male protagonist (Julian) has nothing going for him -- aside from being handsome and loving the heroin "despite himself".

Throughout the entire, very long book, and until the very last page, he's nothing but arrogant and extremely cruel. How the heroin falls in love with him in the first place (let alone stays in love with him through his mistreatment of her and lack of any redeemable quality) is a complete mystery to me -- and something that makes no sense whatsoever.

If you're a first-time Constance O'Banyon reader, do yourself a favor and pick another title.

I've read this book over a dozen times over the years. And I'll keep on rereading it for years to come.
Loved this book and all of Ms O'Banyon's other books. Requested constantly that they be put on . So happy they are (almost) all available. This was my favorite and the one I looked for recently. When I realized it was finally available I looked for (and purchased) the rest. Her books are wonderful.
My mother owned the paper back novel when I was younger and I fell in love with it then. It's not too smutty and has a great story line. A must read.
